1994 BMW 740iL, with
120k The manufacturer's suggested retail price on this luxury coach was
well over $60,000. This BMW comes equipped with a 5 speed automatic, 4.0
liter DOHC 32 valve fuel injected V-8, aluminum block, and aluminum heads with 286 horsepower. What a
wonderful driving machine. The pick up and handling is superb. The engine
and transmission sound and drive like they are ready for the Autobahn. The
exterior is jet black, with black leather interior. This 740il has been
pampered like a baby, always garaged. The Interior and exterior have been
well protected from the elements and it has been very well maintained.
Very minimal signs of wear. The Nappa leather seats are in excellent
condition, with no rips or tears. The interior is exceptionally clean and
well kept. |

4-9-05 - Well here they are, the wheels and tires are in and mounted, they even have locking chrome lug bolts, all twenty lugs. These pictures were taken right after being installed, the wheels are still a little dirty from the mounting process, and it was about sunset time, I will have better quality pictures posted soon. This wheel and tire combination ride unbelievably great, and look even better! The wheels can be purchased from Parallel Universe. 1-04-06 - I just found out that this particular BMW suffered the sulfur piston chamber problem, and had a complete new crate engine installed at 60,497 miles. So considering that, the cars drive train only has a little over 70k on it. July 2006 - Just got car back from the local BMW dealership in Chattanooga, Tennessee spent a little over $1000 on mixing plate gasket (Intake manifold gasket) and rear wheel bearing hub assembly replacements.

Maintenance / Enhancements Performed in 2004
Include:
This Car is not the Chevrolet Corvette that I used
to have before trading for this BMW 740il, but considering that I have a
family and friends it is nice to be able to have the room for more then
two people, This car can actually carry 5 adults very easily and
comfortably and still ride smoothly and perform well. This car has 286
horsepower the Corvette had 300 horse power, not much less in the power
range, the ride is very luxurious, it has an adjustable leveling
suspension, very nice, it has 4 wheel disc brakes and traction control
also like the Corvette, a higher quality leather interior, that doesn't
age as quickly and badly as the Corvette. The "il" models are longer then the "i" model BMW's, about 5 inches longer
I believe, (I think it is all in the interior too) that makes for a lot
more room in the interior then in the Corvette, I am 6 foot tall and can
easily fit in the front, or rear with the front seats all the way back.
The Chevrolet Corvette definitely has a coolness about it that the BMW
lacks, but the BMW 740il has a prestige all of its own, and the 7 series
is just top of the line. You really can have performance, and luxury all
in one car. August 2005 I just gave this car to my wife Heather, since we
traded her Eclipse for a 3000GT VR4. So
I got a 1998 SVT Cobra Convertible, one of
only 223 like it produced by Ford in 1998, with only 49,880 original
miles. |
