2010 Lexus LS 460 AWD Lexus has previewed an all-wheel drive variant of its LS 460 Luxury Saloon at the Moscow International Motor Show. LS 460's all-wheel drive system will use a three differential configuration, featuring a compact Torsen® Limited Slip Differential (LSD). The Torsen® LSD system - shared with the LS 600hL - is designed to provide seamless all-wheel drive, with optimal traction and driving performance. The torque-sensing system generates limited differential torque proportional to the vehicle's drive torque. It will be set up with a front-to-rear torque split that is biased to the rear in the ratio 40:60. Lexus chief executive John Roca said that Lexus Australia would welcome the all-wheel drive LS 460 in Australia. |
