1941 Chevrolet Pick-up - These are some pictures of my dad's truck he's been dreaming of building for over 50 years. It took he and I, working alone, over 4 years to finish, starting from one half of a rust bucket. It was finish July 4th, 2008. We wound up building most of the truck from scratch, since we were on such a tight budget. we made the whole bed, running boards, grill, modified the frame quite a bit, built new door sills and lower half of the doors, dash, channeled the body 12 inches, dropped the radiator 10, lowered the fuel tank 4, etc. Other than belts, hoses, bearings, brake pads, etc. the only parts we bought were new rear fenders, and a new one-piece windshield. We made everything else. The only part of the build we subbed out was to have a local glass shop put the windshield in for us. We did everything else, including paint, wiring and upholstery. The body is a '41 Chevy pickup, the chassis is a '91 S-10. The engine is a 4.3 V6, with ABS, fuel injection, and obd all intact. Runs great, does a nice burnout, and he is loving it at age 70.
